| | Ampersand after a snowfallNovember 30, 2012 - Morgan RyanHeaded out to Ampersand Mountain today to see just how much snow fell during last night's storm. I kind of thought there would be more snow than there was. The sky was clear most of the morning with temperatures in the single digits. By the time I got to the trailhead, clouds had started to gather in the west and the temperature climbed to 15 degrees. The total round trip distance to the open summit of Ampersand is about 5.5 miles. The views from the top make it totally worth the effort. Stream bed along the trail early in the hike
