MENA, Ark. — Marilyn Stolarski, 63, of Mena, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at her home.
She was born on March 10, 1947 to Bernard Lewis and Isabelle Munson Farley in Lake Placid.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Marilyn was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, where she served on the Parish Council, was a youth advisor and served as president and vice president of the Altar Society.
Marilyn was a pipefitter by trade and loved her work. She said, “100 guys and one girl working — it was fun!” She worked for Brown and Root for 10 years in the oilfields of Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana and North Carolina.
In her spare time, she raised her garden and enjoyed gathering the vegetables. One of Marilyn’s greatest achievements of her life was winning the Parent of the Year Award at Windsor Village in Houston, Texas.
Survivors include one son, Bernard Farley and Lyn Heggen of Lake Placid; one daughter, Rachel Campbell of Mena; two grandchildren: Ethan Campbell of Mena and Ashley Campbell of Lake Placid; special friends Annette Kloch of Mena, George and DeAnn Kloch of Mena and James Allen of Mena; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Clem Stolarski.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Oct. 13, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mena, with the Rev. Norbert Rappold as celebrant. Interment followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Mena.
