PRINCETON, N.J. — Polly Pratt Green O’Donoghue, 91, of Princeton died peacefully Friday, June 17, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Peoria, Ill., she resided most of her life in Princeton. Polly was a graduate of the Mary C. Wheeler School, Providence, R.I., the Sarah Lawrence School in Bronxville and the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
During World War II she worked for the Red Cross. Mrs. O’Donoghue was the past directress of the Altar Guild of Trinity Church, past member of the Garden Club of Princeton and an accomplished painter.
Daughter of the late Henry and Louise Hannam Pratt, wife of the late Edward George Green and the late John O’Donoghue, she is survived by two daughters and a son in law: Arden Moulton,
Tracey and Wade Whitney; four grandchildren: Anthony Moulton, Devon Whitney, Tracey Moulton and Edward Whitney; and a great-granddaughter Lauren Whitney.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 21 at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer St., Princeton.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton.
