Robert Edward Weiskopf, 'Bob' to his friends and 'Popso' to his family, died on Monday, February 13, 2012 at his home in Pennsdale, Pa, at the age of 89.
Born on June 25, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, to Edward and Martha Weiskopf, Bob was raised in Lake Placid, N.Y., where he became an avid outdoorsman with a particular passion for tennis.
Bob received his Bachelor's degree from Harvard University prior to enlisting in the Army Air Corps, where he served as a Sergeant stationed in Italy during World War II. Upon his return he married Nancy Ann Alford and attended Columbia University where he graduated first in his MBA class.
Bob and Nancy raised four children in Larchmont and then the couple moved to Wilton, Conn. Bob worked for several importing companies before establishing his own REW Consulting and this work allowed him to travel the world.
Bob was predeceased by Nancy, his wife of 61 years, on September 28, 2009, and is survived by his four children David Weiskopf and Linda of Ogden, Utah, Catherine Liebermann and Robert of Huntington beach, Calif., Donald Weiskopf and Debra of Pennsdale, Pa. and Douglas Weiskopf and Anne of Sudbury, Mass., and by his eight grandchildren.
A private service has been held.
