The Lake Placid Squirts hockey team wrapped up its season Sunday, March 11 with a gold medal in the CanAm Challenge Cup in Lake Placid.
It was the second golden weekend in a row for the Bombers, who captured the title at LP International Sunday, March 4. Lake Placid won all five of its game in each tournament.
In the CanAm tournament this weekend, the Bombers scored 26 goals and allowed just one. The previous weekend they scored 32 goals and allowed just three.

Lake Placid finished the season with 36 wins, 12 losses and four ties. The Bombers scored 200 goals and allowed 85. The Bombers took part in seven tournaments, bringing home gold in the last four to add to a silver and a bronze.
The Bombers won 22 of their final 23 games.
