Sand to the rescue

This bus was stuck for more than an hour on a hill near the intersection of state Routes 73 and 86 in Lake Placid Sunday morning. Snow was falling and wind blowing as the bus could not get through the slippery road until village sand trucks helped clear the way. The Lake Placid Police Department was also on the scene.
