LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid All Around, the fourth and final Lake Placid speed skating meet of the season, took place Feb. 16 and 17 on the Olympic Speed Skating Oval. Approximately 45 skaters competed from New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Canada.
As this was an all-around event, distances encompassed a range of sprint, middle and long distances. Both the male and female divisions competed at 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 3,000-meter distances spread out over the two days.
Esther Munoz and Patrick Kelly represented the Lake Placid Speed Skating Club in the event. Munoz placed first in her age group of Junior C and fourth overall, while Kelly won the Master's 50 to 55 age category and the overall event title.

Isabelle Weidemann of the Ottawa Pacers club in Ottawa, Ontario won the women's overall title. Weidemann is the also the newly crowned Canadian Junior long track champion.
