Wilmington town Clerk Gerald Bruce retained his position Tuesday despite a challenge from Linda Lawrence.

Bruce garnered 186 votes while 63 people voted for Lawrence.

Bruce has been the clerk for 15 years, and he'll serve another four-year term. He told the Enterprise this morning that he's happy with the results.

His race was the only contested one in Wilmington.
