Today I held a post-Women's March HUDDLE at our apartment at Northwood School.
What is a HUDDLE? During February, small groups of people all over the world have been gathering together in our neighborhoods to begin to transform the energy we saw at international Women's Marches into local and national action.
Six people and I gathered to write postcards to our elected (and other) officials urging them to support issues that are dear to us. Some of us were Republicans, some Democrats and at least one Independent. Some of us had attended the March on Washington or other marches, and some of us hadn't.
The HUDDLE meets at Martha Pritchard Spear’s apartment.
We ended up preparing nearly 40 hand-written, personal postcards that will go out in the mail. To find a HUDDLE or make one yourself, go to actionnetwork.org/event_campaigns/first-we-marched-now-we-huddle.
