Celebration of life for bobsledder Steven Holcomb set for Thursday

LAKE PLACID - There will be a celebration of life for legendary bobsledder Steven Holcomb at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 in the Lussi Ballroom at the Lake Placid Conference Center, USA Bobsled & Skeleton announced Monday.

Holcomb died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 6 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, and the ceremony will serve as a chance for the community to celebrate the life of an extraordinary bobsledder and person. Media and the community are welcome to attend the ceremony, which will be about an hour long.
