March 28, 2018
Lake Placid News

LAKE PLACID - The 4th annual Miracle on Ice Fantasy Camp continues for its third day today. In all, 65 "campers" are participating in the four-day event at the Olympic Center, where the U.S. hockey team beat the Soviet Union during the 1980 Winter Olympics in what was called the "Miracle on Ice." There are 20 rookies and 45 veterans. Fourteen members of the team have returned this year to coach and play with the campers. Joining them is Ralph Cox, the final player coach Herb Brooks cut before the Olympic tournament. The fantasy camp continues through today, when the bronze- and gold-medal games will be held.
