Youth Center thanks community for their BBQ festival support

On behalf of the Shipman Youth Center, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the following sponsors, friends and volunteers who defied hot temperatures and long hours to make 13th annual I Love Barbecue & Music Festival and eighth annual I love Barbecue Junior World Championship success.

With $25,000 in 2018, funds raised by ILBBQF in the last 13 years bring number over $270,000 for the SYC, another proud milestone. These very needed funds will be used to continue the dream of Thomas Shipman to have a safe, educational and fun place for children to attend.

Many thanks to citizens of Lake Placid, Tri-Lakes area and visitors for purchasing Shipman Youth Center raffle tickets that were sold prior and at the I love Barbecue & Music Festival. Congratulations to four people from Lake Placid and the Tri-Lakes area who had winning tickets and won total of $13,500. This raffle raised $10,800 for the Shipman Youth Center. Together with ILBBQF, $14,200 revenue and raffle of $10,800, the total amount is $25,000, another exciting moment.
