By MIRIAM HADDEN - Zonta Club of the Adirondacks , Lake Placid News

Are you experiencing a little late-winter cabin fever and need a fun and festive night out? On Feb. 26, Desperados restaurant will host Zonta Club of the Adirondacks' annual Mardi Bra event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

All are welcome to this fun, casual, mid-winter night out for a great cause. Club members will gather at the restaurant, located at 2090 Saranac Ave. in Lake Placid, to celebrate Mardi Gras and will collect donations of new bras, underpants and feminine supplies for local nonprofit service providers and food pantries. Desperados will be offering a special cocktail and will donate a portion of the proceeds from each drink sold to the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks. The club will also be accepting cash donations. All supplies and net proceeds raised by the club at the event will be used for charitable projects that benefit local women and girls.
