Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to the diligent ice meisters who braved the cold, dark, wind, snow and rain to keep checking the ice disappearing. It was a tough year weatherwise, and we appreciate their many faithful years of ice meister service.

We would like to acknowledge help from the ticket vendors, ticket sellers (especially Steve Detwiler and Betty Hunkins), ticket purchasers (more than 560 this year), Lori Dudley for the poster, Jim Shea for tabulating the tickets, and Mary Kelley and Mary Hardy for their help with this benefit for the LPVAS.

Now that "spring" is here (the ice out of the lakes in Lake Placid), be safe when you go out on the lakes. It's still very cold. Wear your life jackets!
