NEW YORK (AP) — Police say they're searching for a 3-year-old boy who disappeared while riding a Brooklyn subway with his grandfather.

An NYPD spokesman says Kah-yon Reynolds of Newark, New Jersey was last seen Friday at the Smith-Ninth Streets station in Gowanus.

That's where he and his grandfather boarded a northbound F train.

Police say the grandfather fell asleep during the ride and that Reynolds was gone when woke up in Queens.

Reynolds was wearing a yellow T-shirt, camouflage green shorts and red sneakers. He's 31 inches tall and weighs 40 to 50 pounds.

Police helicopters with spotlights are searching for him in Brooklyn.

Police ask anyone with information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
