A crowd of skiers and snowboarders enjoy the view above the clouds recently at the summit of the Whiteface Mountain Ski Area. As of Monday, March 18 the ski area had 66 trails open on a primary surface of packed powder, according to the mountain’s daily report. A winter weather advisory is currently in effect for the Adirondack Region, with about 12 inches of snow expected, according to The Weather Channel.
