WILMINGTON — Adirondack Christian School’s eight-member Class of 2024 graduated on June 15.
Grace Hodgson was named valedictorian. Hodgson, the daughter of Mark and Melissa Hodgson of Jay, plans to pursue a degree in engineering at Michigan State University in the fall.
Hodgson’s cousin, Millie Hodgson, was named salutatorian. The daughter of Todd and Kelli Hodgson of AuSable Forks, she plans to attend Geneva College to pursue a degree in nursing.
The commencement speaker was evangelist Dr. Ray Spence. Several graduates received scholarships during the ceremony, including Grace Hodgson, who received the New York State Education scholarship, and Hannah Tremblay, who received the 4-H Stiles scholarship.
All graduates were recognized with an achievement award from New York state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office and a formal recognition from Rep. Elise Stefanik’s office.
Graduates of ACS’s Class of 2024 are Brennan Aardsma, Cameron Akey, Alexandra Gravatt, Grace Hodgson, Millie Hodgson, Michael Marcinak, Gideon Sayward and Hannah Tremblay.
Established in 1967, ACS is the oldest continuously-operating Christian school in New York.
The nonprofit school is located on state Route 86 in Wilmington and teaches students in pre-K through grade 12.
