This holiday season, Ward Lumber is bringing the spirit of giving to life through multiple collection drives aimed at supporting local communities and spreading joy. This building materials supplier with locations in Jay & Malone just completed a winter clothing drive, has ongoing drives for Toys, and a holiday change round-up fundraiser. The team at Ward Lumber is determined to make a meaningful impact.

Earlier this season, Ward Lumber wrapped up a winter clothing drive by collecting more than six contractor bags full of donated winter essentials. Community Connections, a local organization dedicated to serving those in need picked up the items collected at their Malone Store last week by Lee Rivers, CEO of Community Connections, who praised the culture at Ward Lumber, stating, “The employees’ dedication to giving back to the community and really getting behind [charitable efforts] is a true testament to the positive culture at Ward Lumber.”

Currently, Ward Lumber is hosting a Toy Drive in both store locations. Community members are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to either store by December 15th. These donations will help brighten the holidays for local children and families, especially those with greater needs this season.

Ward Lumber is also running their annual Change Round-Up fundraiser, allowing customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar. Ward Lumber will Match up to $1000 of the money raised and proceeds will be donated to two impactful local organizations. The Jay & Wilmington Ecumenical Food Pantry, which fights food insecurity, and the North Country Honor Flight, which honors North Country veterans by funding trips to Washington, D.C.’s memorials.

“We are thankful for our customers and the community that surrounds us! Without them, we could not be a success in our pursuit to be a positive influence in our community,” said Corey Fleury, Building Material Sales Specialist at Ward Lumber.

Starting at $1.44/week.
