On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Saranac Village at Will Rogers Senior Outing Club will travel to Lake Placid to recreate on kick-sleds out on the ice at Mirror Lake. Silver Birch Cycles in Saranac Lake will provide the kick-sleds and traction devices. Cost is $20 per participant, and kick-sleds can be for a single person or for two, with one person riding. Lunch will be immediately following at The Cottage Restaurant ($12 and up). The Saranac Village at Will Rogers Senior Outing Club, is open to all seniors (55+) interested in venturing out for moderate activity at various locations around the area. Activities are held on the last Tuesday of the month. The club’s mission is to “offer seniors the chance to enjoy outdoor adventures with companionship, safety and fun.” Wear good walking shoes and clothing for potentially cold or inclement weather.
