Toby Couture Jazz Trio plans performance Feb. 15

Toby Couture
On Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m., Saranac Village at Will Rogers presents a newly formed group performing at our venue for the first time, The Toby Couture Jazz Trio. The trio will perform the smooth sounds of jazz in the comfort of the Will Roger’s Great Room. Included in the trio are Matthew Dunne, Matt Lewandowski and Toby Couture. Some special surprise guests may also join in the concert.
Guitarist/bassist/composer Matthew Dunne has been a performer, composer and professor both internationally and regionally in the Adirondacks. He has composed music from orchestral film scores to guitar pieces for the LA guitar quartet. He brings this extensive musical background to his bass playing and truly enriches any jazz ensemble.
Mike Lewandowski has been a staple of the Adirondack music scene for decades. Mike has played everything from rock, to Latin, to Big Band Jazz. He currently teaches music at Chazy and is the leader of the SUNY Plattsburgh Big Band.
Toby Couture is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who has toured internationally and composed music from small ensembles to orchestral works. He worked for a number of years as the band leader for Cirque du Soleil, traveling through Europe, Asia and Australia. Born and raised in the outskirts of Saranac Lake, you will find Toby playing the piano and singing.
