Registration now open for Adirondack Plein Air Fest

The 17th Annual Adirondack Plein Air Festival, hosted by Saranac Lake ArtWorks, is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 event, scheduled for Aug. 18 to 23.

This festival invites plein air painters from across the nation to capture the breathtaking beauty of the Adirondack Mountains through their art.

The festival will feature six days of outdoor painting, including special events such as the Nocturne Contest, the “Paint the Town” Silent Auction, a Special Preview Party, a Quick Draw Competition, and a Show & Sale on August 23. This year’s Awards Juror is Beth Bathe, an accomplished plein air artist from PA known for her nostalgic paintings and awarded 1st place at the 2019 Adirondack Plein Air Festival. Beth will also present a Plein Air Workshop at the Paul Smith’s College VIC Aug 16 &17 – registration is open to artists of all levels for this 2-Day workshop.

Professional artists from all over the country, as well as local painters, aged 18 and older are encouraged to apply for the festival through OnlineJuriedShows.com. The selection committee will review submissions and choose 40 artists to participate, with 10 alternates in case of cancellations.
