Born on Feb. 8, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Russell Vallier and Ina Emery.

After retiring from Long Island, Lois and her husband Robert built their dream home in Lake Placid and moved there in 1990, where they spent their golden years together until Robert’s passing in 2000.

A service to celebrate Lois’s life was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at St. Agnes Church with her friend and pastor, the Rev. John Yonkovig, officiating. A presentation of military honors by American Legion Post 326 of Lake Placid and the burial of her ashes immediately followed at St. Agnes Cemetery.
