Timothy Shaw Torrance

Timothy Shaw Torrance was born on April 24, 1960, in Lake Placid, NY to Margaret Archer-Shaw Torrance and Kenneth Rollie Torrance. He died on January 22, 2004 in Albuquerque, New Mexico

He spent his formative years in Lake Placid enjoying the many outdoor activities Lake Placid had to offer. He was a member of the Junior Ski Jumping Program, and enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at the family camp.

He was a self taught mechanic, many of his skills he learned from observing his father and brothers. Tim was the person to call if you needed anything mechanical figured out, as well as being an all around handyman.

In his adult years he moved to New Mexico with his life partner Cynthia Young, Cindy and Tim enjoyed the beauty that the mountains of New Mexico had to offer. While in New Mexico he worked with a construction company that worked for Torrance County, building roads. He later worked as a Prison Guard.

Tim was predeceased by his partner Cynthia J. Young, his parents, Margaret Archer Shaw Torrance and Kenneth R. Torrance and his sister Pamela J. Green. He is survived by his brother Scott P. Torrance ( Katherine /Bunny), Rollie C. Torrance (Gerri) and his brother in law B. Gordon Green, Cynthia’s son Will, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.Those willing to remember Tim can make a donation to the North Elba Food Pantry or the charity of your choice.
