Bomber boys hoops secure win
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid boys basketball team got off to a strong start in the first quarter on Friday, Jan. 18, and never let up, topping the Indian Lake/Long Lake Orange 61-36.
For the host Blue Bombers its was their first victory of season, after falling in its previous 10 games. The team jumped out to a 31-9 lead in that opening quarter, and held strong the remainder of the way.
Lake Placid’s Seb Cecunjanin led the way with a game-high 37 points, which included 21 in the first quarter. Caleb Wylie added 11 points and Hugh Kissel had six.
The Blue Bombers’ Owen Hayes added three points, while Emerson Sweet and Phoenix Colby each chipped in with two.

Bombers fall to Bolton

The Lake Placid boys basketball team suffered a 72-35 loss to the Bolton Eagles on Thursday, Jan. 16 on the road.
The Eagles jumped out to a 39-17 lead at halftime and soared by the remainder of the way, improving to 9-1 overall.
Lake Placid’s Cecunjanin had a game-high 21-point outing. Sweet and Brendan Murphy chipped in with four points, while Hayes, Kenny Lawrence and Calvin Branchaud each scored two.
Bolton’s Liam Foy and Jaxson Egloff led the way with 15 points each, while Jace Hubert and Jacob French also reached double figures, with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
